Dream Defenders is a youth-led organization in Florida fighting for a world without prisons, policing, and war, and building alternatives such as investing in communities and transformative justice, with a focus on Black and Brown youth empowerment.
Volunteers (young people of color) organize through Dream Defenders chapters to hold political education sessions on abolitionist concepts, lead protests and sit-ins at places like the state capitol to demand an end to racist laws (like Stand Your Ground), run mutual aid programs and free resources for their neighborhoods, and canvass to engage voters on justice reform amendments.
