An unprecedented campaign to end discriminatory policing in NYC and empower communities to demand safety and police accountability, led by a coalition of grassroots groups
Volunteers (through member orgs or as independent activists) help organize Know-Your-Rights trainings in over-policed communities, collect and document stories of NYPD misconduct, turn out residents for NYPD oversight hearings and rallies, and support legislative campaigns like the successful fight to repeal NY’s police secrecy law (50-a).
