The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is a Quaker organization that promotes peace and justice, conducting programs on humanitarian aid, immigrant rights, economic justice, and conflict resolution both in the U.S. and abroad.
Volunteers (of any or no faith) support AFSC by helping at local immigrant detention visitation programs, gardening or tutoring in community peace projects, campaigning for just economic policies and demilitarization in their communities, and organizing educational events on peaceful conflict resolution, all guided by Quaker values of nonviolence and equality.
