About / Mission
Warm Up Boston is a radical survival program serving, supporting, and empowering Boston’s unhoused community through solidarity and mutual aid rather than charity. As you may know, primarily, we run distributions of food, water, and other survival and harm reduction supplies to the unhoused on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Distros generally last 2.5 to 4 hours and include a decent amount of walking. We can always use the most support around our distributions.
We also have a variety of behind the scenes activities that are essential to supporting our distros. They also serve to accommodate our volunteers' other accessibility and scheduling needs. These include regular reading groups, wound care kit making nights, harm reduction training, and less frequently donation sorting nights. All volunteers must be 18+.
Volunteer Needs
We are always in need of more volunteers to join us at our distros on Sundays in downtown Boston and on Thursdays in Cambridge.
