About / Mission
PNHP NY Metro advocates and organizes for universal, comprehensive, single-payer healthcare. At the city & state level, we play an active role in the Campaign for New York Health, advocating for the New York Health Act - our state-level single payer healthcare bill. Nationally, we organize for improved and expanded Medicare for All. At all levels, we advocate for racial, economic, LGBTQ+, disability, reproductive rights and health justice. We oppose systemic inequities and injustices, as well as the privatization and erosion of our existing essential public health programs, Medicare and Medicaid.

Sharing & recording healthcare stories.
Writing Team: drafting and publishing op-eds & letters to the editor.
Speaker training, development, bureau dedicated to informing the public & healthcare workers about single payer and health justice.
Participating in working groups dedicated to state-level & national-level advocacy, education & outreach, research & analysis.
