Jane Addams Senior Caucus is a Chicago-based organization of older adults organizing for social justice, focusing on affordable housing, accessible public transit, quality healthcare, and preserving social safety net programs for seniors.
Volunteer Needs
Senior volunteers in the Caucus meet to identify community problems (like rising rents in senior buildings), organize campaigns such as pushing the city for senior housing protections, speak at rallies and public hearings, mentor younger activists on intergenerational issues, and turn out the senior vote in local elections around progressive issues.
