The Alliance for Retired Americans is an organization of over 4 million retirees and community activists advocating at national, state, and local levels for the rights and well-being of older Americans – including the protection of Social Security, Medicare, and pensions.
Volunteer Needs
Retiree volunteers form state Alliance chapters to meet with members of Congress about protecting and expanding Social Security/Medicare, lead letter-writing and call-in campaigns to oppose benefit cuts or high drug prices, hold senior rallies at Capitol Hill or district offices, and educate fellow seniors on voting and issues affecting their retirement.
